ROBERT LENKIEWICZ 

Robert Oscar Lenkiewicz born 31 December 1941 and died 5 August 2002) was one of South West England's most celebrated artists of modern times. (For Biography and Background Go To Stories Of My Father In The Home Page Menu).

Lenkiewicz is regarded by many as a great painter who is being recognised as such after many years of neglect by the art establishment, particularly by London.

He produced as many as 10,000 works often on a large scale, and in over 27 themed Projects investigating philosophical and sociological themes. 

Including Projects on Vagrancy 1971, Mental Handicap 1976 or difficult social issues such as Suicide 1980 and Death 1982. 

Robert Lenkiewicz died from heart disease aged 60  on  5 August 2002.
