Combined with her high cheek bones and piercing dark eyes all added to a unique sense of style.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis was particularly evident in Plymouth at that time a remarkable place but not exactly overflowing with exotic characters.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAn important and close relationship developed between Myriam and the artist over many years.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMyriam was an exceptionally good model for the artist being able to sit perfectly still for many hours. A rare and important gift. \u003cbr\u003eThey stayed close friends for many years.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e(It is hard to show through a photograph the subtle qualities of a very good painting and something I have always found frustrating.
