Sallie Gaywood is a landscape artist who lives in Devon  she has six paintings permanently in the Windsor Collection  Sallie is a remarkable artist and person and she has fascinating stories about meeting both the Queen and Winston Churchill.  

BIOGRAPHY Sallie Gaywood was born in Chester in 1941 -

Sallie studied ballet for 10 years at the well-known Elmhurst ballet School. Then at the age of 17 Sallie changed from dancing to painting and became a highly successful artist.  Sallie studied with Robin Goodwin in Chelsea.  

Sallie was commissioned for six paintings of the surrounding grounds of Windsor Castle, which are in the permanent collection at Windsor.

Sallie says remembers her time painting at Windsor and meeting the queen.

The Queen came to see her while she was painting and they had an informal and enjoyable chat. We had a lovely time she was delightful.
