A pair of beautiful Museum Quality oil paintings by the artist Sir Francis Grant PRA dated 1850 of Jonathan Hargreaves and his Wife Anna Maria Hargreaves.

(18 January 1803 – 5 October 1878):
A Scottish Portrait painter who painted Queen Victoria and many distinguished British aristocratic and political figures. He served as President of the Royal Academy.

Jonathan Hargreaves (c1813-1863) married Anna Maria (nee Harland) in 1846.
The son Reginald Gervis Hargreaves married Alice Liddell (Alice in Wonderland).
Alice Liddell was the inspiration for Alice in Wonderland.
Johnathan & His Wife Anna lived in Oak Hill Park House seen in the Pictures the Paintings originally hanged there.

Liddell 1852 – 16 November 1934), was, in her childhood, an acquaintance and photography subject of Lewis Carroll.
One of the stories he told her during a boating trip became the children's classic 1865 novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
